Before Your Vinyl Installation
Knowing what will transpire before, during, and after your laminate installation process can make for a more simplified and stress-free process. Here is an overview of what will take place before your vinyl flooring installation:
- Our crew will have you walked you through our installation process, answering any questions that you might have about timelines, procedures, and so on.
- You should remove all furniture from the rooms where the installation will take place.
- Ensure that children and pets will not be present on installation day.
- Complete any painting work that might need to be done.
- Discuss overall goals and expectations with the installation crew.
Before Vinyl Installation
- There are different installation methods for LVT and LVP.
- For LVT and LVP, there is a floating, click-and-lock installation method that can typically be done over existing flooring.
- There is also a method that uses adhesive.
- Both methods follow a similar process, though click and lock is slightly more simplified and thus will take less time.
After Vinyl Installation
- A final walkthrough will be completed to assess the work and answer questions.
- We suggest running a fan to remove any installation smells.
- Stay off your floors for a period of time to allow the materials to settle. For glue-down installations, this is especially important.
- Enjoy your new vinyl floors.
