Before Your Laminate Installation
Read up on what to expect before, during, and after your laminate installation to have a better handle on our overall process. Here is what you can expect prior to your laminate flooring installation with Concept Flooring:
- Our crew will have you walked you through our installation process, answering any questions that you might have about timelines, procedures, and so on.
- You should remove all furniture from the rooms where the installation will take place.
- Ensure that children and pets will not be present on installation day.
- Complete any painting work that might need to be done.
- Discuss overall goals and expectations with the installation crew.
During Laminate Installation
- Your crew will answer any last-minute questions you might have before your laminate installation.
- Your crew will acclimate the laminate planks to the temperature of the room. Doing so will prevent warping and issues after installation.
- Laminate floors can be installed using an interlocking system known as "a floating floor" or way of an adhesive. Floating floors can go traditionally go on top of your existing floors which saves time and effort for your crew.
After Your Laminate Installation
- A final walkthrough will be completed to assess the work and answer questions.
- We suggest running a fan to remove any installation smells.
- Stay off your floors for a period of time to allow the materials to settle. For glue-down installations, this is especially important.
- Enjoy your new laminate floors.
